The General Council Assembly of the “Uncovering the Potential of Border-Dwelling Youth” (FYN NGO) was held on July 9th to 10th. This assembly brought together all working groups of FYN: the office, main committee, and other working groups. During this event, discussions were held regarding work processes, strategic plans, charters, and significant decisions for the organization. Both staff members and current members and candidates of the Executive Committee, as well as graduates of the summer school, participated in the General Assembly as observers. All decisions were reached through joint consensus and subsequent voting.
The agenda included:
- Report and evaluation of completed works and programs for 2021-2022.
- Strategic plans for communication, cooperation, and development for 2022-2024.
- Elections of Executive Committee members for the 2022-2023 term.
- Discussion and prioritization of the annual action plan.
Participants joined the meeting in both online and offline formats. Each General Council candidate presented briefly on their collaboration with FYN and potential areas for cooperation. Serine Avetisyan, Natela Navasardyan, Joe Davtyan, and Yervand Abrahamyan were re-elected to their roles in the Executive Committee during the first session.
The staff raised questions, leading to productive discussions. Secretariat employees and deliverers—Lusine, Liana, Mariam, and Anahit—were confirmed. The reorganization of work teams and redistribution of responsibilities were discussed to ensure work quality and employee well-being.
Strategies were planned, and the importance of team development was emphasized. A decision was made to introduce the institute of ambassadors to propagate FYN’s ideology and values.
